2022 MTV Video Music Awards Nominations: The Complete List
The time has come once again to honor the best in a music video.
The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards nominees best represent everything we've heard and the music videos that have entertained us over the past year.
On Tuesday, MTV announced the nominees for its 2022 show, which stars Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X in the lead with seven nominations.
While 2021 MTV VMA hosts, Doja Cat and Harry Styles are also not far behind, each garnering six nominations for their musical magic.
Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd were also among the top contenders, leading up to next month's show with five nominations.
This year's VMAs will also see 26 nominees appear for the first time for Person of the Moon, including Baby Kem, Gail, Casey Musgraves and Menskin — each with multiple nods.
This year, the VMAs are returning to the Garden State for their first show in New Jersey since their iconic 2019 production, which featured show-stopping performances from Missy Elliot and Taylor Swift.
While a host for this year's show has yet to be revealed, the winners will be announced in front of a live audience during the show, broadcast live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on August 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
