Roger E. Mosley, best known for his role in the action crime series "Magnum, PI", has died. He was 83 years old.

Mosley died on Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident in Linwood, California on Thursday, Mosley's daughter Cha-A Mosley confirmed.

Born in LA on December 18, 1938, to Eloise Harris, Mosley grew up in a public residence in Watts of the Imperial Court.

The actor made his television debut in 1971 with the crime drama "Longstreet" and went on to star in several films in the '70s.

But Mosley has never changed the world of television, producing series such as "Kojack," "The Rockford Files," "Starsky and Hutch," "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams," "Sanford and Son," "Kung Fu." hasn't changed. "Not Left Behind. Appeared in," and "The Love Boat."

However, his showbiz breakthrough came in 1980, when he landed the role of helicopter pilot Theodore "TC" Calvin on "Magnum, PI", which starred Tom Selleck and John Hillerman.
