Anna Karen on Buses leaves most of £400,000 for co-star Sophie Lawrence
Late On The Buses star Anna Karen has left much of her fortune to her former EastEnders co-star Sophie Lawrence.
The actress, who played Olive Rouge in the ITV transport sitcom between 1969 and 1973, died earlier this year in a fire at her home in Ilford.
Her east London home was engulfed in flames in February in a horrific fire that neighbors believe was triggered by a cigarette after she fell asleep while smoking.
A source told The Sun earlier this year: "She was apparently in bed at the time of the fire. She is believed to have slept with a cigarette."
Her agent Shane Collins also told the publication: "We don't know if it was an electrical fault or it was because she was smoking."
Anna lived in London from the age of 17 and lived in a simple terraced house.
More than £420,000 of her estate was left to her close friend Sophie, 50, who played Diane Butcher in EastEnders between 1988 and 1991.
Anna also appeared in EastEnders between 1996 and 2017, in which she played Grant's aunt and sister to Phil Mitchell and Peggy Mitchell, played by Barbara Windsor.
