Avril Lavigne embraces Shania Twain's animal instincts in a leopard-print minidress at the ACM Honors
Avril Lavigne made a live appearance at the Academy of Country Music Honors on August 24 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn.
The "Love Sucks" songwriter arrived in a leopard-print hooded minidress by Ashton Michaels.
Her look consisted of a black leather corset zippered top coordinated with a paneled-box pleated skirt that featured embellishments at the hip.
The removable topcoat was decorated with studs that outlined the top and shoulder line of the hood. Lavigne completed the outfit with black mid-caffe lace-up boots.
Lavigne sought inspiration from one of the night's honorees, Shania Twain—a fitting choice, as Lavigne presented Twain with the Academy's Poetry Prize, which recognized her achievement as a songwriter.
Twain arrived on the red carpet in a black, floor-length dress by Mansouri with a leopard-print cowboy hat and matching heeled shoes.
Before the ceremony, Lavigne shared with her Instagram followers that the animal print she adopted in her look was from the 1997 music video "Man! I feel like a woman."
Lavigne recently channeled her own style history through a collaborative clothing and accessories line with Kilstar.
The Avril Lavigne by Killstar collection is available on the brand's website with prices ranging from $14.99 to $59.99.
