Chrissy Teigen is pregnant, expecting baby after pregnancy loss
Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend are expecting their "rainbow baby" nearly two years after suffering a devastating pregnancy loss.
The 36-year-old model announced she was pregnant via Instagram on Wednesday, August 3.
The Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation actress shared several photos of her baby bump in the caption, "The past few years have been a haze of emotions to say the least, but joy refills our homes and hearts Is."
"1 billion shots later we have another on the way. Every appointment I've said to myself, 'Okay if it's healthy today I'll announce,' but then I breathe a sigh of relief to hear the heartbeat And decide I'm still very nervous," she continued.
"I don't think I'll ever walk out of an appointment with more excitement than nerves but so far, everything is perfect and beautiful and I feel hopeful and wonderful. Well, keeping at it for so long It's been so hard!"
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolcik-Bearman wrote, "Congratulations! So happy for you guys," while Katie Couric added, "Congratulations, Chrissy! So happy for you and John."
Teigen, who has been open about her fertility struggles, revealed in October 2020 that she gave birth to her son, Jack, at 20 weeks. The cookbook author was on bed rest and experienced heavy bleeding that led to a blood transfusion.
She explained in a heartbreaking personal essay on Medium that her pregnancy complications were caused by a partial placental abruption.
