Fans defend Lizzo after Aries ridiculed her weight
Fans rushed to Lizzo's defense after comedian Aries Spears made several derogatory comments about the "Good as Hell" singer.
During an interview on the "The Art of Dialogue" podcast, Spears made distasteful comments about the singer's weight and appearance.
"I can't get over the fact [that] she looks like an emoji. She's a gorgeous girl. Her face is so pretty, but she keeps showing off her body."
Come on man,” Spears said in a clip of the interview shared online. "I'm not the most in shape in the world, but when you're funny and you've got confidence and confidence and you look good.
I think I'm at least handsome. But a woman who's made like a plate of mashed potatoes is in trouble. she's dope. His music is hard... his body is not."
The stand-up comedian and actor said, "You know what I know about women? Hypocrisy and contradiction.
You claim all womanhood and are all about brotherhood, but if you really love your sister you're like 'Black girl, we love you and your confidence, but it's not like that.'2
Twitter went wild, taking Lizzo's side. Several users also emphasized the irony of Spears' criticism of Lizzo's weight, pointing out that the comedian himself isn't in the best of shape.
