Jonathan Knight recalls 'crazy' times while shooting his show
Jonathan Knight is living the life of a rock star and a design star.
The New Kids on the Block singer toured around the country for most of the summer with her bandmates and filming episodes for the second season of HGTV's Farmhouse Fixer.
The series follows Joe Knight and his interior designer partner Christina Crestin as they restore historic homes from around New England.
"I would say this year was definitely a challenge because I basically had to be in both places at the same time," said Knight, 53. "In all time of the New Kids reunion, this was the loudest touring event for us.
There would be days when I would get off the stage at 11 pm, jump on a plane right after the show, fly all night, film all day, and then go back on a plane and do the next show."
The New Kids 2022 Mixtape Tour, featuring Salt-N-Pepa, En Vogue and Rick Astley, won the U.S. Traveled to over 50 different cities.
"I think throughout the tour, I probably had three days off," says the singer, who first appeared in the late '80s with his NKOTB bandmates: younger brother Jordan, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. had gained fame.
"When I got home after the trip was over, I went to my room, closed the door and said, 'No one bothers me until I come out.' I think I slept for 48 hours straight."
Despite the "crazy schedule," Knight says he is grateful for the experience that allowed him to engage in both of his passions: music and home renovation.
