Kate Middleton didn't give in to the paparazzi who insulted her
Kate Middleton kept her sobriety even when paparazzi insulted her before marrying Prince William.
Columnist Daniela Elser revealed that the photographer used to insult Kate for getting negative feedback from her.
The Duke of Sussex began dating Kate while he was studying at St Andrew's University in Scotland.
As Katie Nicholl writes in her book Kate: The Future Queen, upon her return to London, Kate found herself "the subject of much press interest and infiltration from the paparazzi".
“William said we had a duty to look after him and his family and so we gave him advice on how to deal with the cameras,” the aide explained.
"We asked her to smile at the photographers to get a better picture."
In her column for the NZ Herald, Elser wrote: "For nearly a full five years, Kate was stalked, harassed, dog-beaten, and generally harassed by certain quarters of the media."
She continued, "A picture of Kate making some terrible face or losing her was worth much more than just going about her business." What is remarkable, said Elser, is his chivalry and grace under fire.
"There's no video of him crying, yelling hysterically at the press, or maybe you or I moaning," Elser said.
