The reason for this, as TMZ notes, is that the track on the LP titled "Energy" uses samples from Kerris' track "Get Along With You" from her 1999 debut album.
In a series of comments on a post from Instagram, Kelis claims she didn't expect her song to be sampled and is upset that it hadn't been asked before.
“I heard about it like everyone else. Looks nothing like it. Some people in this business have no soul or integrity, and everyone is an idiot,” she said I said.
Kelis continued to make additional comments, responding to fans who claimed to "really admire Beyonce." [sic] "Praise is not a word," "Keris" writes.
When another comment described "Energy" as "a collaboration the world really needs," Kelis replied, "It's not a collaboration that's stolen."
