Marilyn Monroe is making her way through Hollywood's "asphalt jungle," one wrong step at a time.
The trailer for Andrew Dominic's "Blonde" redefines the legacy of the late screen legend, with Ana de Armas turning into a portrait of Monroe.
The "Some Like It Hot" star's love stories with Joe DiMaggio, Arthur Miller, and the infamous John F. Kennedy frame the feature, adapted from Joyce's Carol Oates novella "Blonde."
The film will premiere on Netflix on September 23.
Julian Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams are also serving as producers with Brad Pitt, Dade Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Tracy Landon and Scott Robertson.
Writer-director Dominic previously stated that "Blonde" is a "criticism of American holy cows" like the aforementioned male titans.
"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Cowardly Robert Ford" visionary confirmed earlier disturbing sexual assault scenes and classified the film as an "emotional nightmare fairy-tale type film".
"It's a tragedy," Dominic told Collider earlier this year. “It is like an unwanted child who becomes the most wanted woman in the world and has to deal with all the desires directed towards her.
And how confusing. This is kind of a nightmare. It's about being in a car with no brakes. It's just getting faster and faster and faster."
