'The Last of Us' HBO Max release date, cast, trailer, plot
The much-loved video game The Last of Us has officially been turned into an entertaining TV series.
Starring Game of Thrones legends Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, the 10-part series sees Pascal and Ramsey take on the roles of Joel and Ellie as they fight for survival in a post-apocalyptic world.
The two encounter obstacles at every turn, including those known as "clickers" who are ravaged by a disease that turns them into cannibalistic demons and others.
The good news, however, is that HBO Max has confirmed that the series will premiere in 2023 and has released a glimpse at footage of the show to keep fans in suspense.
To watch The Last of Us premiere, you must be an HBO Max subscriber. Now you can sign up for HBO Max for $9.99 per month.
The Last of Us on HBO Max brings the award-winning 2013 video game series to life with Neil Druckmann, the writer and original director behind the HBO Max adaptation.
Druckmann is joined by Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin, as well as the game's original developers, Naughty Dog, and original game composer Gustavo Santolella.
Like the game itself, the series takes place in the post-apocalyptic United States, 20 years after a fungal plague wiped out the majority of the human race.
