Trevor Murdoch vs Nick Aldis World Title Match Set for NWA 74
NWA World Champion Trevor Murdoch now knows who his opponent will be in next month's NWA 74: an old rival.
At Tuesday's NWA Powers, former champion Nick Aldiss won a deadly four-way win involving Thom Latimer, Mike Knox and Brian Myers.
Four men qualified in last week's Race for the Chess qualifying matches, with Knox earning a bye.
Aldis will now challenge Murdoch for the title at NWA 74 on August 27 and 28 - the company's two-night pay-per-view from the Chase Ballroom in St. Louis, Missouri.
The two feuded over gold last summer, and Murdoch finally snatched the title from Aldis at last August's NWA 73.
June's Always Ready also included a two-man four-way for the vacant title, with Murdoch regaining the belt after losing to Matt Cardona.
